House, Trip, and Potty Chart

Hello, all! Life has been just so busy lately. Between having a house built and driving out to see it a couple days a week, work for my master's classes, and the extreme amount of work put on us at work on top of evaluation stuff, I still haven't had much time to update this blog. I'm not even sure if my infertile friends read it anymore. If you do, please comment so I know it's worth it to still update. Lol

As for updates....our house is coming along just beautifully. It was finished being framed right before our annual trip to northern Wisconsin.

We stopped by last night to see what else has been done in the week and a half that we didn't go see it. They are almost done with the deck, and we have one garage door (the double door) and our two showers.

Speaking of our annual trip to was last weekend. Here are some pictures. The colors were beautiful and minus a day of rain, the other two full days were terrific weather.

So, we officially started trying to potty train about a month ago. Jordan has been peeing on the potty for over a year now. I used to put him on the potty before his bath and he would pee, but that was it. I knew he was way too young, but he understood that he could pee in the potty. A month ago we started putting him in training pants and putting him on the potty every 30 minutes. He started getting really frustrated and seemed to be rebelling and having a lot of accidents. Then I made a potty chart and purchased some $5ish Blaze monster trucks and race cars as prizes that he earns. He has 7 rows and 7 columns which makes 49 little stickers he fills up and then one big sticker that has a saying such as "You're awesome," "High Five," etc. The big one is the 50th stickers. That earns him a toy.

I cannot figure out how to attach a Microsoft Word document, otherwise I would share the document. If anyone is interested, comment with your email address and I can email it to you. These are the big stickers that I use for the chart:

They don't sell the small ones anymore, but any small sticker could work.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will catch up on blogs soon.

I would love the document! Olivia loves stickers, so I'm hoping this will be a good motivator for her. I haven't done a lot in terms of potty training because diapers are just SO MUCH EASIER. Ugh. By far, this will be the most challenging parenting thing by far. But stickers sound like a great idea!

And holy house! I can't wait to see pictures when it's all done. I can't imagine how excited you must feel!

Keep updating this blog!!!! I hate losing touch with the women who meant the most to me during those years. I'm still reading!

Love the house and the pictures from your trip!

Potty training was THE WORST. But not having to deal with diapers is amazing.
