The 2WW has come to an end. It has been a crazy one. I have been super busy getting ready for my first year of teaching. I've been printing, laminating, and cutting out decorations. I have also been buying out Target and the local teacher store! ;)
Everything about this cycle has been different from the last fresh cycle that I had. My body didn't take to the egg retrieval as well as it did the first time. I didn't feel good for a few days after and I got SUPER bloated. I also started itching (down there) last week. Ouch and Ew, I know. I am using Vagisil and it is feeling much better now. Then the last 3 days when I go to do the progesterone suppositories, I am VERY dry down there. Ugh. Also, my boobs stopped hurting a couple days ago and I have two lovely pimples that popped up yesterday. I thought for sure that my period was coming.
I went in for the beta this morning and then went to a training that is required for new teachers. I looked at my phone at about 2 o'clock and I had missed calls from Chicago-IVF from 1:42, 1:47, and 1:52. After playing phone tag with my nurse (well my nurse before I changed doctors), I finally got on the phone with her. She said that she told my current nurse that either she was going to call me or that they were going to flip a coin for it! LOL! I love her! Anyways.....she got to give me the news that we have been waiting SO very long to hear! WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!!!!!! My beta needed to be at least 50 and it was at 203! I asked her if that means that we could have multiples and she said that that could be why it's so high. So now we wait until the number gets to 1500 before they do an ultrasound. I have to go in on Friday and then again on Monday morning for more blood work.
Mike picked up a HPT on his way home from work just so we can see a positive pregnancy test for the first time EVER! :) The test says that we are 2-3 weeks and the IVF calculator says that we are 4 weeks and 2 days along! We are thinking that the IVF calculator is more accurate! We are overwhelmed with the GREAT news that we have received in the last 6 days and still a bit in shock!
