Insurance, Nursery, and FET

I talked to my clinic about my new insurance coverage late last week. My insurance covers 90% with a $2,000 deductible. If I have an outpatient surgery (ex. laparscopy and hysteroscopy), then I have a deductible of $500 for that. It does offer the state mandated 4 IVF cycles. FET's don't count toward the 4. If we get pregnant with this months FET then it goes down to 2 additional IVF cycles. This coverage is better than what we had through my husband's old job. I am so thankful to live in one of the few states with good fertility insurance coverage and I am also thankful for my new full time job with AWESOME insurance.

Lately I have been putting a lot of thought into our nursery. I am trying not to jump the gun, but I just can't help it! I fell in love with the gray and white chevron print and I am dying to buy things! I am hoping to paint the walls on January 20th when we are off for MLK's birthday. I just purchased the curtains online last night. The painting and curtains are all that I am doing/buying until we know for sure we are pregnant. I love the fact that the color works for either gender. We will accent the room with colors either for a boy or girl. This is the bedding set below. Cute, right? I know that some people may find it a little boring, but if you saw my ideas for the whole nursery, you would love it! :)

I took my last birth control pill last night. I have been spotting since Thursday, so I expect my period to start in the next couple days. Friday is my baseline labs and ultrasound at 6am and then I start meds and injections on Saturday. Oh goody (she says in a sarcastic voice)! ;)

The injections suck but there's something so exciting and hopeful with each one. I'm so excited to read your updates!! :) And I LOVE your nursery idea. I think it would help folks who get hung up on the blue/pink thing -- when you do find sweet, sweet baby success, do you plan to find out the gender?

PS -- please know, I'll be stalking your life for updates :)

Wow, that is amazing insurance coverage! I love the nursery start- I know you were hung up on the PBK prices, but if you look, you can find grey and white chevron everywhere! I got sheets at Target for $10! Can't wait for the next update. Fingers are crossed.

I'm so excited for your upcoming FET. Isn't it a bonus to have good insurance? I also had to cover my deductible before they paid anything but when I did they covered 100% when they originally said 80%. Love the nursery idea can't wait to see it come together.

Best of luck!! I know good things are coming your way. Let me know when you're ready for some burp cloths. I have a several yards of white and gray chevron flannel fabric. I'd love to make some (for free) for my sock buddy's long awaited miracle. :)

I'm so excited for your cycle to be underway!

I think I'm one of the few infertiles who bought baby stuff while we were trying. I figured I was going to have a baby someday, somehow, so why not buy things when they're on sale?

Just a heads up, I've heard a lot of moms who've purchased bedding sets say they regret it because they didn't use the bumpers or the blanket, they really just use the sheet and maybe the bed skirt. Do you have to buy the entire set or can you buy individual pieces? I love your nursery theme!

Yay yay yay! LOVE the simplicity of the bedding. I'm doing the same thing. I'm painting the room cobalt blue either way, boy or girl and then accenting different colors depending on gender.

So exciting that your FET is almost here!
