On Tuesday I stayed the night at my sister's house and she drove me to my procedure yesterday morning.
After waiting for about 50 minutes (my doctor was late due to flooding around her house), I was taken downstairs and got ready for the procedure. I was so extremely nervous that I felt like a chihuahua with how much I was shaking while they were talking to me about the procedure and asking me questions. Pretty much as soon as I laid down on the bed, they put in the anesthesia. I felt a little groggy and I said "Did you do the anesthesia?" the doctor replied "yes" and I said "I thought so" and then I was out. Next I remember I could see the nurse, but she was quite blurry. It took me a couple minutes to see clearly. The nurse brought over a pad for me to place between my legs and then had to waddle over to chair to sit for awhile. She gave me crackers and water and then I was good to go. From start to finish I was only there for 3 hours. It wasn't too bad.
Then my sis and I went back to her place for her to pack up her car with garage sale stuff to bring to my house and so that she could pack an overnight bag for last night. She stayed the night last night and then went with me this morning to take my dog to the vet because my dog likes to pull and I wasn't sure if it was good to be dealing with that in my current state. She was such a big help and I am so lucky to have her for my sister. :)
Today I am feeling fantastic. There is gas building up and it's making me a little sore in my shoulders, rib cage, and stomach. Besides that my incisions aren't bothering me. Of course I haven't taken off the bad aids yet. I feel so good that I have been doing laundry, the dishes, watered the flowers, tree, and garden, took the garbage out, and picked up the house a little. I finally sat down for some relaxation a little while ago. I'm going to finish catching up on Pretty Little Liars (yes...I know...lame, but I got sucked in). :)
I am off of work until Monday! :) Have a great rest of your week everyone! :)
